This script blocks YouTube's thumbnail hover previews (animated WebP & video) while preserving progress bars, play buttons, and static thumbnails.
Works on all pages: homepage, subscriptions, watch, search, channels, etc.

Save bandwidth and reduce distractions while browsing YouTube
No login required – works instantly without any settings
No permissions. Runs at document-start

⚙️ Key features:

  • Blocks animated thumbnails, hover previews & channel trailers
  • Removes an_webp & video previews, pauses + mutes videos
  • Uses MutationObserver + interval for full coverage
  • Stops GIF auto-play & flashing in Posts when switching slides
  • Preserves red progress bar for watched videos

📥 Install:

  • Have userscript manager? Click Install → Reload YouTube
  • First time? Install Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey (or Greasemonkey on Firefox) → Click Install this script → Reload YouTube
  • Quick tip: On Safari, use Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey works on macOS but needs extra setup)

⚠️ Note:

  • Remember to enable Developer Mode in Extensions
  • Also enable Allow User Scripts in Extensions (if available), otherwise the script will not run

Script chặn hiệu ứng xem trước khi hover thumbnail trên YouTube (ảnh động WebP & video), nhưng giữ nguyên thanh tiến độ, nút play và ảnh tĩnh.
Chạy mọi trang: trang chủ, đăng ký, xem video, tìm kiếm, kênh...

Tiết kiệm băng thông và giảm phân tâm khi lướt YouTube
Không cần đăng nhập – hoạt động ngay, không cần cài đặt
Không cần quyền. Chạy ngay khi tải trang (document-start)

⚙️ Tính năng chính:

  • Chặn ảnh động thumbnail, xem trước khi rê chuột & trailer kênh
  • Xóa an_webp & video preview, tạm dừng + tắt tiếng video
  • Dùng MutationObserver + interval để bao phủ toàn diện
  • Ngăn GIF tự chạy & nhấp nháy trong Bài đăng khi chuyển slide
  • Giữ nguyên thanh tiến độ màu đỏ của video đã xem

  • Sửa lỗi dịch nhỏ và khoảng cách ở phần metadata tiếng Khmer, Lào, Uyghur
  • Một số tinh chỉnh nhỏ giúp script ổn định và tương thích tốt hơn

📥 Cài đặt:

  • Có userscript manager? Bấm Cài đặt → Tải lại YouTube
  • Lần đầu? Cài Tampermonkey hoặc Violentmonkey (hoặc Greasemonkey trên Firefox) → Bấm Cài đặt script này → Tải lại YouTube
  • Mẹo nhỏ: Trên Safari, dùng Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey chạy được trên macOS nhưng cần cài thêm)

⚠️ Lưu ý:

  • Nhớ bật Developer Mode trong mục Tiện ích
  • Cũng bật Allow User Scripts trong mục Tiện ích (nếu có), nếu không script sẽ không chạy
