Allows toggling the visibility of YouTube videos, comments, and recommended sidebar videos
YouTube + Vorapis – Toggle Video, Comments & Sidebar
Description
This userscript allows you to manage the visibility of YouTube video elements. You can toggle the video player itself, the comments section, and the recommended videos sidebar. It is especially useful for focusing solely on video playback, reducing distractions, and optimizing system performance by hiding unnecessary elements.
Features
Toggle Video: Show or hide the main video player.
Toggle Comments: Show or hide the comments section.
Toggle Sidebar: Show or hide the recommended videos list.
Dynamic Updates: Works even when navigating between videos on YouTube’s single-page application (SPA).
Lightweight: Reduces GPU and memory usage by hiding heavy elements.
Usage
Install the userscript in Tampermonkey (or compatible userscript manager).
Open a YouTube video.
Access the Tampermonkey menu to toggle:
Video visibility
Comments visibility
Recommended sidebar visibility
Each toggle operates independently, so you can customize your viewing experience as desired.
Compatibility
Tested and confirmed working with Vorapis YouTube scripts/layouts.
Works on standard YouTube watch pages (https://www.youtube.com/watch*).
