This script blocks YouTube's animated thumbnail hover previews (animated WebP & video) while preserving progress bars, play buttons, and static thumbnails.
Works on all pages: homepage, subscriptions, watch, search, channels, etc.

Save bandwidth and reduce distractions while browsing YouTube
No login required – works instantly, without any configuration
No permissions. Runs at document-start

📥 Install:

First time? Install Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey/Greasemonkey → Click Install this script → Hard refresh YouTube (Ctrl + Shift + R)
Quick tip: On Safari/macOS, use Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey works but needs extra setup)

⚠️ Note:

Hovering may still add video to watch history due to YouTube server-side changes (late 2024) - pause history for full control
Enable Developer Mode and Allow User Scripts (if available) in Extensions, otherwise the script won’t run

Chạy mọi trang: trang chủ, tab Đăng ký, xem video, tìm kiếm, kênh...

Tiết kiệm băng thông và giảm phân tâm khi lướt YouTube

📥 Cài đặt:

Lần đầu? Cài Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey/Greasemonkey → Bấm Cài đặt script này → Làm mới hoàn toàn YouTube (Ctrl + Shift + R)
Mẹo nhỏ: Trên Safari/macOS, dùng Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey cũng được nhưng cần thêm bước)

⚠️ Lưu ý:

Việc di chuột (hover) vẫn thêm video vào lịch sử xem do thay đổi server YouTube (cuối 2024) - hãy tạm dừng lịch sử xem để kiểm soát hoàn toàn
Bật Chế độ dành cho nhà phát triển và Cho phép tập lệnh của người dùng (nếu có) trong phần Tiện ích, nếu không script sẽ không chạy
