This script completely blocks YouTube's thumbnail hover previews (animated WebP & video) while fully preserving:

  • Progress badges (watched percentage)
  • Play button overlay
  • Static thumbnail images

Works on all YouTube pages: homepage, subscriptions, watch, search, channels, etc.
No permissions required. Runs instantly at page load.

Key features:

  • CSS: Hides moving thumbnails and preview overlays
  • JS: Blocks an_webp & video-preview sources, pauses videos
  • MutationObserver: Monitors DOM changes
  • Interval check: Ensures no previews appear

Installation: Install via Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey → Refresh YouTube.

Script chặn triệt để hiệu ứng xem trước video khi hover thumbnail trên YouTube (cả ảnh động WebP và video), nhưng vẫn giữ nguyên:

  • Badge tiến độ (phần trăm đã xem)
  • Nút play trên ảnh
  • Ảnh thumbnail tĩnh

Hoạt động trên mọi trang YouTube: trang chủ, đăng ký, xem video, tìm kiếm, kênh, v.v.
Không cần cấp quyền. Chạy ngay từ khi trang tải.

Tính năng chính:

  • CSS: Ẩn thumbnail động và overlay
  • JS: Chặn nguồn an_webp & video-preview, tạm dừng video
  • MutationObserver: Theo dõi DOM thay đổi
  • Kiểm tra định kỳ: Đảm bảo không có preview lọt lưới
